Request data deletion
Use this page to request deletion or anonymization of personal information and submitted content associated with the IdiomBridge Android or iOS app.
How to submit a request
- Email privacy@idiombridge.app with the subject IdiomBridge data deletion request.
- Identify the submission using the contributor name or username, idiom text, language, country, tribe, and approximate submission date. Do not send passwords, identity documents, or unrelated sensitive information.
- State whether you want the associated personal information removed, the submitted idiom removed, or both.
- We will use only the minimum information needed to verify and complete the request, and will reply with the outcome or any necessary clarification.
Data covered by a request
- Optional contributor name or username associated with an idiom submission.
- Optional contributor email, if it was collected by the production submission service.
- Unpublished, rejected, or pending idiom submissions that can be matched to the request.
- Published idiom content where removal is appropriate and technically possible.
Deletion, anonymization, and retention
When a valid request is completed, IdiomBridge deletes or anonymizes the personal information it controls and removes applicable submitted content. A published idiom may be retained without personal attribution when the cultural reference content is not itself personal information and retention is permitted.
Limited security, abuse-prevention, backup, transaction, or legal records may remain until their normal retention period expires or while retention is required by law. Data held independently by advertising or platform providers is handled under their privacy controls; IdiomBridge will route or support applicable provider requests where required.
Requests are normally completed within 30 days after we have enough information to identify the relevant data, subject to applicable legal requirements.
